Buddy Search - Prisoner of War (POW)

Brooks, H. H.

I served as a Rifle Platoon Sergeant (Oct 52--Oct 53) in that war and very much appreciate your KWE writings on the WEB. My Radio Operator was wounded and captured on a recon patrol I was leading on the night 24/25 April, 53 ;he was eventually moved to Camp 5 on the Yalu River where he spent his captivity in some sort of make-shift hospital . He was repatriated 5 Aug 53---died 1982. I served a 34 year career in the Canadian Army. I would very much appreciate contacting an American POW who may have had contact with my soldier Private H. H. Brooks during the trek to Camp 5 or whilst in that Camp.

Cadell, Wayne (Slim)

Looking for anyone who served as a POW with Wayne (Slim) L. Caddell, or served in his military unit or was captured with him.  Wayne Caddell went by the nickname of Slim.  Slim was a PFC, US55-114-748, Company G, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. Captured August 22, 1951 and released August 28, 1953.  Was in Camp 3.  Slim was my cousin and while a POW he wrote a song called, "The Prisoner of War Song."  He was one of two men that played guitar and would sing in Camp 3. In his later years, he recorded this song as well as "A Little Guy Called Joe", which he also wrote as a POW.  Anyone who may remember Slim, please contact me.

Colorado-Delgado, Rafael

I am Puerto Rican.  My grandparents had four male children. Three of them were in the Korean War.  Their names are as follows: Rafael Colorado-Delgado, Julio Colorado-Delgado, and Pedro Colorado-Delgado.  I know as a fact that Rafael Colorado-Delgado was a prisoner of war for about 3 to 4 years.  This was during the early 1950s.  If you can find any information regarding my uncle I would really appreciate it.  When he came back, he couldn't recount to the relatives what had happened to him in detail.  He lost some of his memory and sometimes behaved strangely.
