RE: Room and Meeting room charges listed by President Coon FACT: The following information was obtained by me on a direct call to the hotel Reservations & Sales/Catering Office. FACT: Room rates are based on a room regardless of the number of people in the room (no single/double/etc.) Room rate per night (25 Anniversary rate) amount: $20.00 plus $3 room tax plus 9% state tax. TOTAL PER NIGHT PER ROOM: $25.07 (min. 2 nights) 4 night total $100.28 NOT $239.99 MEETING ROOM CHARGES: $200 PER DAY = $600.00 FOR THE 3 DAY MEETINGS. OR NO CHARGE IF COFFEE/SOFT DRINKS/DANISH IS ORDERED FOR MID AM & PM FOR A CHARGE OF $300.00 PER DAY - TOTAL WITH NO MEETING ROOM CHARGES. QUESTION: Why did President Coon elect to use a travel agent when the hotel has a sales office and we have in prior years made our reservations direct with the hotel? FACT: Had President Coon used a registration fee of say $10.00 it would have covered more than the expense. QUESTION: Who has their hands in the cookie jar how much will President Coon's travel agent make on the $5,480.00 in overcharges on 40 rooms that were blocked? QUESTION: When will the Directors take charge of the affairs of the KWVA as their duty dictates. The President serves at the please of the NATIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTORS NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. FACT: This has been an insult to the general membership and the more than 100 members of the Membership/Chapter Formation Committee who have established 101 new Chapter location over the past two years. QUESTION: When do we ask President Harley Coon for his resignation? YOU BE THE JUDGE. QUESTION: Is President Coon guilty of Conduct unbecoming the President of the KWVA. AGAIN YOU BE THE JUDGE.
