Re: Insurance claim and March 25, 2000
Dear Mr. Myrda:
The Korean War Veterans Association (hereafter the KWVA) Executive
Council had a meeting on March 25, 2000 in Arlington, VA. The enclosed
letter, from Greg Ray representing Chubb Group of Insurance Companies,
was presented to the Executive Council. The Executive Council took
the following action.
- A motion to expel Mr. Nicholas Pappas from the KWVA until
all financial records were returned to the satisfaction of the
Executive
Council.
- That your invoice in the amount of some $16,800 not be
paid as you failed to respond to the insurance company as prescribed,
and failed to comply with our requests in or letters dated
February
4 and March 11, 2000.
- That your firm sends a copy of a contract between CPA Stan
Myrda and the KWVA or a copy of the minutes, stating the
agreement of
the fee or hourly rate and a complete accounting of any
time spent on the insurance claim on or after September, 1998.
- That you negotiate only with Mr. Thomas J. Gregory the
KWVA Treasurer.
- That all records including all financial records be returned
their rightful owners the KWVA [sic].
