15th MPs and 25th Recon Company, 25th Inf. Div.,
Osaka & Shinodayama, Japan, and Korean War
Searching for old buds from these companies. To date I have located over a hundred of these men,
many of whom would like to make contact with their long lost buddies from the Japanese Occupation and
Korean War era. I would also like to hear from anyone who has ever served with 35th MPs. I
served with the 25th MPs and 25th Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop in Osaka and Shinodayama, Japan,
1947-1949.

25th Infantry Division, 27th Infantry Reg., 8th FAB
My grandfather, Pvt. Thomas J. Browning is a Korean Vet. He, along with his twin brother, Pfc. Joseph
D. Browning, was on tour of duty in Camp Nara, Japan before being sent to Korea in early July of 1950. I
have just located one of their buddies, Pfc. Clarence Leon, from their unit. Joseph was killed on July 29,
1950. He was MIA until March of 1953. They were in the 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning), 27th
Inf. Reg., 8th Field Artillery Battalion. A few months after Joseph was killed, my grandfather was still
serving with the 8th AFB but transferred to Battery A. He still saw these men, but not as often.
We have pictures of most of the men, but due to the soldiers calling each other by last names, some of
the first names are a blur. If anyone has ANY information on any of these men, it would be greatly
appreciated!
Pfc. LeBlanc (Louisiana)
POSSIBLY------ Pvt. LaPierre????? (Thinks is his last name and cousin to LeBlanc)
Pfc. Carr (suffered from horrible migraines and possibly sent home) (somewhere up north)
Pfc. Cole (Possibly Virginia or West Virginia)
Pfc. Mayton (Texarkana, Arkansas)
Pfc. Kemp (Served in WWII and Korea-went back to rifleman in Korea)
Pfc. Allsup (Thinks from Utah......Played guitar with my granddaddy and his brother)
We also have a picture of "Crazy Leg" Baggett.. Grandfather doesn't remember him, but Joseph's handwriting
was identical...could have been a friend of Joseph's that he doesn't remember.
Pfc. Napier
Pfc. Akers
Pfc. Antonio Lawyer (says he was Mexican and loved to sing with my granddaddy)
Pfc. (possible spellings) Pooda, Pooder, Puder, Pudda, Puddah Thinks he was possibly injured or killed,
but not sure of name spelling.
