A C-54D Skymaster Transport from the 22nd Troop Carrier Squadron, 374th Troop Carrier Wing was on a combat mission when it crashed three miles north of Pyongyang, North Korea.  With a first flight in 1945, the aircraft (4272742), was written off as a total loss.

Heryla, TSgt. Andrew - Minneapolis, MN

Born December 03, 1923, Andrew was the son of Paul Heryla (1881-1931) and Mary Heryla (1878-1956).  He is buried in Saint Mary's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, St. Andrew, Minnesota.

Simpson, 1Lt. Robert L. - Jefferson County, NE

Thompson, 2Lt. Howard R.

Howard was born June 27, 1926 in Compton, California.  A World War II and Korean War veteran, he is buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego, California.
